The game art is said to be created by the artist who created The Monkey Islands. I could not complain about the game art, though. It is very beautiful in a cartoonish way. I don't know about other people, but i really like cartoonish style adventure games. Rather than to strive for realisms but not even close to visually realistic, going fully cartoonish is a good idea.
The game will look super fun and cool. With lots of colors, and strange, funny objects.
I really adore cartoonish style adventure games. It will surely goes into my collection.
But there is one thing about this game that drags the whole game's grade down. It's the character. They talk too much!
I practically fell asleep in front of my computer while playing this game! Phew!
If you do like cartoonish style adventure games like i do, then you should definitely try 'Runaway I and II' and also 'The broken Sword'
Note about a Vampyre story: There is a serious bug in this game. Especially the perfume. This is a fatal bug. If you have empited your perfume bottle and refill it, you cannot empty it again. While actually you need the vial for something else! Then you should restart your game. No, just kidding, i mean, the bug does exist, though, but you do not have to restart your game. Just go to the 'A Vampyre Story official website' And then download the patch according to the game version that you have (e.g US version / UK Version/ International Version, etc)
And then unzip it and patch it to your existing game.
But if you do not have any access to internet at home, then avoid refilling your perfume vial after you emptied it. Until you have a good use of the vial, then you can refill the perfume.
The audio is so so, I tell you, the vocal talents are great, its just that the guy who was compiling it did not do a great job. The voice just did not came out at the right time. It is either too fast, or too slow. And sometimes cut the other character too fast when replying.
The music was done OK, above average.
If only the game designer cut off the characters dialogs by half, yes, seriously, half, 50%! That's how much they blabber. Then this game IS a GREAT game!
