Oscar, the adopted terrier dog will be going to various countries on it's World Woof Tour!
My goodness! Since when does a dog goes on a world tour?
But nowadays nothing seems odd or crazy..., even a dog world tour seems perfectly normal.
The purpose of this tour is to save his fellow doggie friends, to make people aware of the responsibilities of owning a dog, and about dog adoption.
I kinda agree. Before i met Brownie (the 11 months old labrador that i met on the street and finally gave her a new home), i always thought that it is best to buy a new puppy and grow it from there on, that way the dog will know me and love me as it's owner and mommy. But after i met Brownie, i kinda realize that actually adult dogs are a thousand times better than puppy dogs!
During puppyhood, dogs are very naughty and very mischivious and very excited and very active and very destructive and very annoying and very ...ok stop it.
They are cute, puppies are cute, but it gives me 1 year of trouble, crying and patience.
But after the period of 1 year is passed, my dog started to get calmer, after he reaches 2 years old and becomes a fully adult dog, then he is very calm and well trained, well behaved, loyal, lovely, beautifully cute, and most importantly the most loyal companion ever.
when i met Brownie, she was already a grown up dog, about 11 months old, and she does not behave like puppy dogs do. She is calm, loving, caring, although she is big in size but she is still cute!
I still cannot forget those times when Westin (my dog now) was only a puppy. He is TERRIBLE! He destroys EVERYTHING! and poops and pees on my BED! I CRY! I SCREAM in DESPERATION!
hh hh hh hh
But now, 3 years later.... I got the best present ever!
A lot of dog owners gave up their dog when their dog reaches about 9 - 11 months old. Because their dog started to get big, and they do not have their cute puppy face anymore, but they got these disastrous behavior of a puppy, which already last 9 months long or maybe 11 months long, and the owner couldn't take it anymore, so they gave it away.
Which is a pity. Because after you get through that puppyhood period, you will receive the biggest gifts ever, that is the most lovely, calm, and most importantly, the most loyal companion EVER.
If you do not want to go through all this trouble, then get an adult dog! Do not worry of it not recognizing you as it's owner! If it stays with you long enough, you treat it well, feed him well, he or she will follow you wherever you will go and recognizes you as it's new family!
TRUST on YOUR DOG!
